Tour Description (Morning & Afternoon Excursions available)
Ride beautiful Paso Fino horses around 2,200 acres of Puerto Rico countryside. We provide gentle, but spirited, healthy horses that can accommodate beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders. Once guests have checked in, they are taken to the barn area where they are given a basic lesson in horseback riding and orientation on Tropical Trail Ride rules. Once mounted on the horse, the excursion begins and traverses through table-top ranges, around lakes, along subtropical forest. We take a short break at the halfway point to give the horses and guests a breather. And after the break, we ride back to the reception area taking in the sights and sounds of all the wildlife.
During the trip your guide will stop in a few places to describe the local area, wildlife, and nature/plants that you’ll see along the way.
The area is known as karst country (meaning it is limestone). These limestone hills are home to a series of caves and some sinkholes and are geological phenomena found in very few places on the planet.
